ELECTRICAL WASTE: PERSPECTIVE BETWEEN TECHNOLOGY AND DISCARD

Abstract

This article aims to explore the topic of Electrical Waste, not to tangle or discard two of them, using as a reference authors' analyses, statistical data, such as, for example, studies dealing with the lifting of MSW production in Brazil, information on or specifically given treatment. electroelectronic years, ANCAT information, etc. In search of information on the topic “disposal of electroelectronics”, we aim to diagnose and analyze through bibliographical research, or advance the methodologies used in Brazil, identifying possible problems and lack of final treatment given to these materials. Through the investigations carried out, based on studies that relate to the problems involving or specific disposal of these wastes within the current scenario of the collection of MSW in Brazil and the world, observations are compared in the final destination of these materials, as reported by the study in this article, on the increase in consumption of technological equipment and consequently the increase in the production of electronic waste, among the observations of two other authors. The studies demonstrate problems in the final destination of these materials, such as the lack of compliance with the measures to be taken by productive sectors and public agents, such as, for example, those related to reverse logistics, specific treatment of Electrical Waste, given that these materials present a potential risk of Environmental contamination due to chemical substances, harmful to the environment.

André is a Biologist graduated with a Full Bachelor's Degree from the Barra Mansa University Center (2002), a Master in Animal Biology (2006) and a Doctor in Environmental and Forest Sciences (2011) from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. He was a teacher in Fundamental and Medium Education, teaching Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology classrooms. With experience in entomology and ecology he organized short courses, addressing topics such as Ecology, Entomology and Myrmecology. He acted as a Technical Consultant carrying out monitoring and environmental impact studies, using forms as bioindicators. He was Partner Director of the company Resiliência Consultoria Ambiental. Currently, he is a professor at the Volta Redonda University Center-UniFOA. At graduation he teaches courses in Biological Sciences, Environmental Engineering and Design. Post-graduation in the Professional Master's Program in Health and Environmental Sciences - MECSMA.

Ronaldo Figueiró Portella Pereira graduated in Biological Sciences (Bachelor in Ecology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, the same institution from which he completed a Master's Degree and a Doctorate in Ecology. Between 2013 and 2015 he completed a post-doctorate in the Postgraduate Program in Biodiversity and Health (PPGBS / Fiocruz). From 2006 to 2009 he served as Executive Editor of the newspaper Oecologia Brasiliensis, currently Oecologia Australis (ISSN: 1981-9366) and from 2011 to July 2022 he was Executive Editor of the newspaper Revista Práxis (ISSN: 2176-9230). He was one of two founders and former Editor-Chef of two newspapers Acta Scientiae et Technicae (ISSN: 2317-8957) and Acta Biomedica Brasiliensia (ISSN: 2236-0867). He is currently Associate Professor of the Faculty of Biological and Health Sciences (FCBS) of the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, where he is a graduate student in the Professional Master's Program in Environmental Science and Technology (PPGCTA), where he is currently vice-coordinator and where he was coordinator between 2017 and 2019 (vice-coordinator between 2015 and 2016) and coordinator of the Environment and Health Laboratory. From 2011 to July 2022 he served as a permanent professor of the Professional Master's Program in Health and Environmental Sciences (MECSMA) at the Volta Redonda University Centre. He also acts as a collaborator of research groups of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, an institution with which he established a collaborative link since he joined during the teaching through the Scientific Vocation Program of the Joaquim Venâncio Polytechnic Health School. Currently he is also an Avaliator (Institutional and Course) of the National System of Avaliação da Educação Higher (SINAES -INEP) of the Ministry of Education. He works in the areas: Ecology and Management of Aquatic and Veterinary Insects, with emphasis on biology, distribution and diversity of Diptera: Simuliidae; Health and Environment, with emphasis on the ecology of transmitted goods; Science teacher.
