This study examines, through a systematic literature review, stricto sensu Brazilian postgraduate research on the use of Comics in Science Teaching. The literature review was centered on the analysis of theses and dissertations published in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) in Brazil. From the analysis of forty-seven theses (47) and dissertations, there was an increase in the publication of works on the use of comics in Science Teaching in the years 2015 and 2019. It was found that twenty-four (24) institutions have contributed to the development of stricto sensu graduate research on the use of comics in science teaching. There was a higher percentage of works in the Teaching area with 78.7%. There was a predominance of theses and dissertations linked to programs with grade 3 and grade 4, with 27.6% in each grade extract. Eleven (11) papers were identified from programs with grade 5 (23.4%), three (03) papers from programs with grade 6 (6.3%) and two (02) papers from programs with note 7 (2.1%). Finally, the preponderance of the use of unpublished comics and authored by the researchers themselves for the discussion of certain contents or themes was highlighted.
