An intervention proposal to raise awareness about the use of electrical resources through video production

This research is an experience report, developed in a public school in Mato Grosso, with three 8th grade classes of elementary school II. It aims to analyze the video production as a tool for building knowledge and awareness about the use of electricity and its consequences. The problem that led to the choice of the theme for this project was the energy crisis and the threat of a blackout. In the methodology we used qualitative research, the data were obtained through questionnaires, observations and notes in a field diary, were organized in tables and analyzed in categories. The results allowed us to understand the production of videos as a tool that favors the construction of knowledge. The data allowed the perception of the students' understanding that the use of electricity involves financial costs, causes socio-environmental impacts, demonstrating initial awareness formation and respect for the use of these resources
