Implicações educativas para a saúde dos solos e a sustentabilidade do planeta
Abstract
This study discusses the relationship between the consumption of organic food and soil sustainability, covering concepts related to organic agriculture, its advantages and disadvantages and the meaning of healthy soils, including the point of view of producers and consumers, in an educational perspective. The methodology used has a qualitative approach, based on bibliographical research of materials published in magazines and journals, based on research on the portal of CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel-Ministry of Education-Brazil), which brings together several research bases such as Web of Science, Scopus and Science Direct, among others. The research descriptors were the key terms: organic agriculture and soil health; Healthy eating and organic foods; Organic food consumption and sustainability; Organic production and soil health and education for soil sustainability. The discussion presented here aims to provide a greater understanding of the processes and variables that are intertwined in the relationships involving organic consumption and sustainability, promoting the strengthening and dissemination of this topic and, consequently, increasing the levels of knowledge and education for sustainability, notably regarding to soil health.
